The current market trend toward fruit with high health value has prompted interest in isolating Tarocco selections containing high levels of anthocyanins. Regarding the intensity of anthocyanin pigmentation in the pulp of "Tarocco" oranges, the nucellar TDV showed the highest values. The Tarocco TDV cultivar can be harvested from late November to mid-January.
