KORDIA

Obtained from a seedling found by chance in 1963 near Techlovice, Czech Republic. The Kordia variety is considered the best cherry currently on the market. The fruit is of excellent quality. It is an excellent medium-large table fruit with a long stalk, dark red, purplish, or black in color, with a dotted blush on the shiny surface, and a longitudinal heart-shaped shape. It has a very attractive appearance. The flesh is medium-coarse in texture, with good flavor, firm, and juicy. It has a harmonious aroma. The plant has an upright, spreading habit. The tree is highly vigorous. It is a suitable variety for dense, semi-dense plantings, combining it with suitable dwarfing rootstocks depending on the planting density. Medium-late ripening.
