The Vivai Squadrito Salvatore Agricultural Company has been a leader in the nursery sector for four generations, boasting over 80 years of activity. Established in Calabria since 1957, the company has been guided by a consistent mission throughout the decades: the sustainable use of natural plant resources to promote environmental and economic well-being through a balanced relationship between man and nature.
Certification and Quality
In the 1980s, Vivai Squadrito distinguished itself on a national level by participating in the first Italian citrus certification campaign, covering both varietal purity and virus-free status.
In collaboration with the Center Gea Vivai Sud cooperative, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Regional Phytopathological Observatory, the company hosted incremental sections in its greenhouses for the production of elite propagation material, meeting the highest institutional standards.
Over the following years, the firm expanded its commitment to quality by joining further certification programs for citrus, fruit, and olive trees, earning accreditation from the Phytopathological Observatory of Catanzaro. In the last ten years, the company has emerged as a leading producer of organic plants, achieving QVI (Qualità Vivaistica Italia) and "Blue Label" certifications for its citrus and olive production.
