Lemonade is a citrus hybrid found in Australia and New Zealand. A cross between a navel orange and a lemon, it was cultivated in 1980 and grows in the subtropical regions of both countries, particularly Queensland in Australia and Northland in New Zealand. The fruit resembles a lemon in appearance, turning yellow when ripe. The fruit is segmented and easy to eat; its low acidity gives it a sweet flavor similar to an orange, but with a very lemony flavor. Delicious when eaten fresh.
