CITRUMELO SWINGLE

Hybrid obtained in Florida from a cross (Duncan grapefruit x trifoliate orange) performed in 1907 and introduced in 1975 by the Horticultural Research Laboratory in Orlando, Florida. Medium-deep and spreading root system. Related to most citrus species. Tolerant to nematodes. Sensitive to calcareous and saline soils, excess and lack of moisture. It confers resistance to low temperatures and good vigor to the graft. It is tolerant to tristeza (CTV).
