MAPO

Mapo tangelo is a hybrid citrus fruit, a cross between a mandarin and a grapefruit. Its shape is similar to that of a grapefruit, but slightly smaller. It has a pleasantly tart flavor with hints of mandarin. The flesh is a uniform yellow-orange color, the thin outer skin is bright green, and the tree has a medium-strong structure with a broad, globular growth habit. Branches tend to bend downward, and thorns are present only on the thickest branches. Ripens late October-November.
